Spruce Mountains

The Spruce Mountains is a beautiful land. Located in the northernmost region of the continent, the Spruce Mountains are large but gentle sloping. Upon these gentle slopes pine trees of all kinds thrive and around and within the mountains themselves are lakes, trails, and valleys. These trails lead to the north edge of the continent, where it drops off in a steep icy cliff to the turbulent ocean below. The Spruce Mountain territory is not made up of entire mountains, either. It also includes the gentle rolling hills of all sizes for a very great distance, where the trees vary in density from very much so to no trees at all. Various streams and rivers cut through the mountains and string out along the lands, all eventually connecting to the ocean above. These streams and rivers are not given names, but one river is. This is the Stoney River which branches off one smaller river and quickly widens, going southward into the Siguan forest.  This is the coldest place on the continent with the lowest temperatures being from September - February (temps slowly getting colder as the winter progresses, as it appropriately should), this being the fall and wintertime, the warmest it gets during this time is around 20 degrees fahrenheight and the lowest around -30. During Spring the warmest it gets is about 40 degrees fahrenheight, the lowest at 10 while in the Summer the warmest is around 70 degrees fahrenheight and the coldest about 30, this is the only season where it does not snow but is so short (July - August) that there is no chance for real crops to grow.  Edible mushrooms, however, can be found during this time of year as well as berries. In the mountains themselves can be found minerals which produces the most beautiful of colors for dying fabric, painting pottery, and for use in tattooing.

White Stone Village

White Stone Village is located amongst the peaks of Spruce Mountains themselves. The settlement is built near a large lake and is a mostly canid village, though other species are welcome but a true White Stone villager is born and raised here and is usually a canid. Shelters here are wig-wam style, the hides covering the walls include the fur (facing outward) to help with insulation especially during the winters. Near the middle of the village is where large fires are held for ceremonies and big events.

Siguan Forest

The Siguan Forest stretches east and west, but is larger north-to-south-wise to the west. The more northern part of the forest is actually part of the Spruce Mountain territory but the difference in the Siguan Forest is that it quickly becomes mixed with deciduous trees and also contains more plant life as the temperature becomes a little warmer, especially as it stretches south more on the western end of the continent. In the part of the land that comes off of Spruce Mountains, the temperatures are the same as in those mountain areas and, naturally, the farther south it goes the warmer it steadily gets. The Stoney River ends in a large horseshoe shaped lake called Half Lake towards the southern end of the forest. Towards the middle, the Stoney River branches off into the Redwood Forest, keeping its same name. The farthest southern end of the Siguan Forest is on the west side of the continent and borders the Kubwa Expanse and especially the Niben Desert, of which this part of the forest never recieves snow and the climate is more like that of modern day's Arizona. In this forest is the only place you can find chert, one very useful rock that can be chipped just right to form an edge sharper than any scalpal.

Redwood Forest

The Redwood Forest runs thinly along most of the border of the Siguan Forest, going from the east to the middle part of the continent in a downward arch. The Redwood Forest is just that, part of the forest where the only tree specie is the giant redwood.  The Stoney River gently flows right through the middle and it ends in a smaller lake called Moon Lake. Other than that, the abundance of other plants is like that of the Siguan Forest and the temperature reaches the highest at 80 degrees fahrenheight and lowest at 60 during the summer with the highest during the winter being 25 degrees fahrenheight and the lowest being 0. Fall and Spring temperatures vary between those appropriately. Only in this part of the forest can jet be found, a rock that is pure black and shiny, most often used to make beautiful jewelries.

The Red Claw Clan

Most Red Claw members reside in what used to be known as the Mammoth Cave to human beings more than a million years ago. Located at the bottom of an unusual hill, The Mammoth Cave's entrance is deceivingly average-sized and assaulted with foilage and thorny brush; making most think it remains to be untouched. In reality, it couldn't be anymore different. The Mammoth Cave is a monstrous cave that could host, potentially, up to 100 bears in its' many dens - though there are probably only 50 or so alive now, maybe less

Kubwa Expanse

The Kubwa Expanse is a chunk of land that is almost pure grassland, though trees do dot frequently and cluster in small areas. This area is on the eastern and middle area of the continent and is one of two areas that has it's own seperate river, called Sky River because of how it sparkles in the light as the stars do. On the eastern edge of the Expanse is a stretched out looking lake called Long Lake where the river begins and flows southwest, into the Niben Desert. Nestled within this grassland is the Nai Wasteland, a mysterious chunk of purely dead land with exposed ruins thrusting up like monstrous skeletons from the dark ominous soil. Clay can be found which is very useful for creating the best pottery.

Eupe Coast

The Eupe Coast is located all along the edge of the continent where it is not cliff, the sands are white and smooth and a lot of beautiful shells can be found here. Here the anthros can fish and the fishing is good, especially in the warmer areas. The shallowest places on Eupe Coast are almost always iced over in the Spruce Mountains and most northern part of Siguan Forest except during summer.

Niben Desert

The Niben Desert, the harshest of the climates on the continent, stretches completely east to west, touching both coasts plus the southern coast. Always hot and dry during the day, with temperatures reaching 100 degrees fahrenheight at hottest (though 100 itself is rare. More normally it is about 80-90) and coldest being at night, especially when the thick dew settles, at around 35 degrees fahrenheight. Sky River runs at a southwest angle and crashes over the cliffs into the ocean below, located in almost the very middle of the Niben Desert and around this river you can find clay right on the surface. Clay can be found anywhere else in the desert, but must be dug for fairly deep before being found. Here, also, can be found a few minerals to create beautiful colors for dying, painting, and tattooing but not as many as the Spruce Mountains. Food is more difficult to find here, even moreso than in Spruce Mountains, since there is not a lot of large-bodied prey.

Western Azure Ocean

The Western Azure Ocean, a beautiful clear blue, from above darkening in color the deeper it gets. In the shallow to medium depths, stretching out farther west until it's out of sight, is a wonderful coral reef. This reef, called Flaming Reef due to the bright colors it sports, does not take up the whole area, but is a strip about ten miles wide. The reef itself is too sharp for anything to live on top of, but would be quite an adventure to swim through as some of the many many different corals that decorate the reef reach their highest at ten feet. The waters here are sharply clear and abundant with life due to the reef. The sands here are littered with stones and many different mollusks (the amount of the stones increase the closer they get to shore, leaving only the largest in the medium and deep depths) and there are patches of tall seaweeds and kelp. However, due to the great abundance of food means this is also a popular area of the ocea for predators such as sharks and barracudas.

Eastern Azure Ocean

The Eastern Azure ocean is pretty much devoid of any kind of reef, and instead is quite thick with kelp forests and seaweeds which gives the ocean a more greenish look from outside the water. These forests are also a good supporter of life, though, but here the conditions are too difficult for most (larger) predatory ocean-dwellers to hunt. The sands are smooth, have little to no rocks and stones, and little to no mollusks.
